Center, Internet Sec. (170 Procedures)

The Center for Internet Security (CIS) was established with the compassionate mission of making the connected world a safer place for everyone. Recognizing the growing complexity and ubiquity of cyber threats, CIS set out to create a community-driven, nonprofit entity that could provide clear, actionable guidance for improving cybersecurity practices across various sectors.

At the heart of CIS's work are the CIS Controls and CIS Benchmarks. These were conceived as practical, prioritized sets of actions to defend against the most pervasive cyber attacks. The Controls offer organizations a clear path to improve their cybersecurity posture, while the Benchmarks provide detailed configuration guidelines for various technologies. Both were developed through the collaborative efforts of cybersecurity experts worldwide, embodying CIS's belief in the power of shared knowledge and community-driven solutions.

"CIS embodies the principle that cybersecurity is both a shared responsibility and a fundamental right, democratizing knowledge and fostering a global community to create a safer digital world for all."

Japh On Tech maintains an exhaustive set of details, specifics, how-tos, and playbooks regarding CIS. JoT builds on the rich knowledge of the framework, approaching it from an education and implementation set of views. And the ATT&CK library is available for members and subscribers of Japh On Tech.
